Arena of Atlantis (AoA) Edit

Select your main character and mercenaries to create an endless amount of formations and strategies to defeat your opponents.

  • You will be able to ban specific mercenaries from being used during your match
  • You cannot select the same mercenaries your opponent chooses

Arena of Atlantis is available to players of any level

  • Your gear, your level, the level of your mercenaries and skill levels do not count in this form of PvP

Rating and Ranking Systems Edit

A new rating system specifically for Arena of Atlantis has been added

  • This new system is based on ELO rating. This means you will be matched with an opponent of equal skill
  • Every player will begin with 1,000 ELO rating
  • Rating cannot be lower than 800
  • If you win a match, your ELO rating will increase. However, if a match is lost, your ELO rating will decrease
  • Your ELO rating will affect what Rank and Tier you’re placed in
  • Ratings that correspond to each rank will change daily based on all players ratings. It will be updated at 6 AM server time
  • Ratings will gradually decrease if you do not continue to participate in Arena of Atlantis

A new Tier and Ranking system has been added

  • Tiers determine how well you’re doing in your matches, while Ranking determines how you place overall on your server
  • The new Tiers are as follows:
    • Dragon Tier: Highest ranked player on the server (above 1500 rating)
    • Phoenix Tier: 1500 rating
    • Pegasus: 1400 rating
    • Lion: 1300 rating
    • Eagle: 1200 rating
    • Wolf: 1000 rating
    • Snake: 999 rating and below.
  • Based on Tier, you will get a special buff after competing in Arena of Atlantis
  • An image of your Tier will appear above your head in towns and regular fields
  • When an Arena of Atlantis match ends, the result window will display yours and your opponents' battle records and ratings

Match History

  • A tab titled 'My Info' is available from the Arena of Atlantis main menu
  • This tab will provide information on the following:
    • Rank
    • Rating
    • Number of matches participated in
    • Number of wins

Merc. Encyclopedia

  • A tab titled 'Merc. Encyclopedia' is available from the Arena of Atlantis main menu
  • This tab will provide information on Main Characters and Mercenaries
  • When selecting a Main Character or Mercenary, the information will be generated on a new, stylized window
  • This window will provide the following information:
    • Character description
    • Stats
    • Attack and Magic descriptions

Match Observation

  • A tab titled 'Watch a Match' is available from the Arena of Atlantis main menu
  • This tab will populate a list of current matches. You will be able to view matches that are currently in progress

Arena of Atlantis Tips

  • A tab titled 'AoA Tips' is available from the Arena of Atlantis main menu
  • This tab will provide simple information on the following:
    • Mercenary selection and ban phases
    • Recommended Mercenaries for each row
    • Tips on how to set your formation
    • Battle Menu explaining action power, attack range, magic, stun, move and guard

Arena of Atlantis Rank Tab

  • You will be able to view, and search for, players ranks via the Rank tab
  • You will be able to view the rating requirements for each tier from the Tier tab

Arena of Atlantis mechanics:

  • Each turn during battle will last 45 seconds
  • You can retreat 5 minutes after your match starts
    • If you retreat, you will not lose gold or experience. However, you will lose the match
  • Auto-Battle function is not available for Arena of Atlantis
  • You cannot participate in Arena of Atlantis if you are in MyHome or Titan server
  • You cannot participate in Arena of Atlantis if you’ve applied to participate, or are already participating, in events such as Free League or Infinite Challenge
  • You cannot participate in Arena of Atlantis, or go to the Arena of Atlantis Shop, if you are in the tutorial area
  • Upon completing a match, you will earn experience based on the amount of AoAP (Arena of Atlantis Points) obtained for winning or losing the match

How to Participate in Ranked Matches Edit

Click the Arena of Atlantis Button at the top of the screen Select the 'Join Match' tab 1:1 Rank Match will be highlighted by default Click the 'Start AoA' button to queue up for a match

  • You will be able to compete with other players on your server at any time of the day, except while you're in battle

Once you queue up, you'll enter standby mode automatically while matchmaking takes place When a match has been found the following pop-up will appear: "Would you like to have a match with this player?" You will not be able to engage in other activities such as normal battles or TBS battles when the above message is displayed When you accept a match, or are in the process of selecting/banning Mercenaries, nearby monsters will not attack you, even if they are supposed to attack you first

When an opponent agrees to have a match, you will enter the Main Character selection phase for an Arena of Atlantis match Character selection and ban system

  • Upon entering a match, you will be able to choose your main character

All main character types are available with the exception of Stormcaller

After selecting your main character, you will be allowed to ban Mercenaries

  • Banned Mercenaries will not be allowed in your formation, or your opponent’s formation
  • During the ban phase, you and your opponent will take turns banning Mercenaries (2 each)
  • Your portrait will glow, notifying you that it is your turn to ban a Mercenary
  • If you do not select Mercenaries to ban within the time limit, a random Mercenary will be selected for you

After the banning phase, you will be able to select your formation

  • All mercenaries are available except the following:
    • Oichi [Gunner]
    • Hassen [Janissary]
    • Robin Hood [Archer]
    • Dark Archer
    • Bluetooth [Viking]
    • Dharma (Shaolin Legion)
    • Soranggoon (Shaolin Legion)
    • Gou Chen Nam (Shadow Legion)
    • Arthur [Knight]
    • Sage King Arthur
    • Dark King Arthur
  • Your portrait will glow, notifying you that it is your turn to select a Mercenary
  • Clicking on the portrait of a Mercenary during the selection phase will populate a brief description and list of skills at the bottom of the selection screen
  • If you do not select Mercenaries for your formation within the time limit, a random Mercenary will be selected for you
  • When the selection and ban phase is complete, you and your opponent will be allotted time to place your Mercenaries in formation
  • Once the formations are set, the match will begin
  • If you leave the match during the Mercenary selection or ban phase, you will see a decrease in rank points

How to Participate in Practice AI Matches Edit

Click the 'Arena of Atlantis' button at the top of the screen Select the 'Join Match' tab Select 'AI Practice Match' Click the 'Start AoA' button to queue up for a match You will be immediately taken to the main character selection phase

  • The main character selection, mercenary selection and formation setting phase will follow the same steps as ranked matches
  • Banning phase is not available in AI matches

Winning or losing AI matches will not be recorded and does not affect the ranking system There are no penalties if you retreat in an AI Match

Arena of Atlantis Battle Bar and Magic Tracker Edit

A special Battle Bar has been added exclusively for Arena of Atlantis

  • Selected Mercenary and main character skills will appear at the bottom center of your screen
  • A special effect has been added to clearly show when a skill can be used, and how long the cooldown is after use
  • Passive skills will be marked as 'Passive' underneath the respective skill icon, and will appear slightly opaque
  • The Move, Wait, Guard, Skip Turn, and Surrender functions will be available on this Battle Bar
  • Magic Tracker available during Arena of Atlantis matches
    • Magic skills used by you and your opponent will be viewable in order of use via the Magic Tracker
    • A portrait of the Mercenary who used the skill will also be visible, and a short description of the skill will appear when hovering your cursor over the skill name
    • Magic skills you’ve used will appear in green, while opponent magic skills will appear in red

Arena of Atlantis Currency and Quartermasters Edit

A new currency, Arena of Atlantis Points (AoAP), has been added

  • AoAP is a new currency that can be used with Arena of Atlantis Quartermasters, who provide rewards in exchange for AoAP
  • The amount of AoAP earned for each Arena of Atlantis match is based on your rank
  • Arena of Atlantis Quartermaster has been added
    • The AoA Quartermaster can be found in Rome
      • To teleport to the Quartermaster, open the Arena of Atlantis Main Menu, then click on the Shop icon found in the top right section of the menu

The Quartermaster has 3 tabs available: Consumables, Equipment and Event

  • The Consumable tab contains the following:
    • [General] Quick-Grow Feast – 350 AoAP
    • Mercenary +1 Level Up Coupon [Lv. 120] – 70 AoAP
    • Mercenary +1 Level Up Coupon [Lv. 130] – 140 AoAP
    • Mercenary +1 Level Up Coupon [Lv. 140] – 300 AoAP
    • Mercenary +1 Level Up Coupon [Lv. 150] – 900 AoAP
    • Mercenary +1 Level Up Coupon [Lv. 160] – 2000 AoAP
  • The Equipment tab contains the following:
    • [Event] Lv. 15 Weapon Box – 50 AoAP
    • [Event] Lv. 35 Weapon Box – 65 AoAP
    • [Event] Lv. 50 Weapon Box – 85 AoAP
    • [Event] Lv. 80 Weapon Box – 110 AoAP

Quests Edit

New quests have been added to guide you through Arena of Atlantis

  • Visit AoA K.T located in Rome, next to the AoA Quartermaster
    • A kind, gentle guide who's here to help warriors who have never tried Arena of Atlantis before. He’ll guide you through the basic process of Arena of Atlantis
  • Visit Battle Manic Robot, located in Rome near the AoA Quartermaster; he will provide a daily quest for Arena of Atlantis and Free League
  • Visit Thalia in Forgotten Warrior’s Battlefield to obtain the Aspiring Dragon title quest
    • Win 50 Arena of Atlantis matches to obtain Title: Aspiring Dragon

Rewards Edit

All wins in AoA grant a buff for 2 hours and some AoA points. Buff depends on rank.

Snake Edit

  • 5% ATK
  • 20% EXP

Wolf Edit

  • 5% ATK
  • 30% EXP

Eagle Edit

  • 10% ATK
  • 40% EXP

Lion Edit

  • 15% ATK
  • 50% EXP
  • 10% Workload

Pegasus Edit

  • 15% ATK
  • 60% EXP
  • 10% Workload

Phoenix Edit

  • 20% ATK
  • 70% EXP
  • 10% Workload

Dragon Edit

  • 20% ATK
  • 70% EXP
  • 10% Workload
