Range

Range aka Attack Range is the range of particular attack, or specification of which enemies it can hit.

Physical Attacks[]

Physical Attacks have attack ranges based on the weapon that performs the attack.

Armor Fist: Melee, can hit up to 2 consecutive enemies in a column, cannot attack flyers
Axe: Melee, can hit up to 3 enemies consecutively (not across a gap) across a front row, but not flyers
Bow: Ranged, can hit any single enemy, including flyers
Cannon: Ranged, can hit up to 5 enemies in a cross pattern anywhere, but not flyers
Gun: Ranged, can hit a full column (up to 3) of enemies, even non-consecutive ones (e.g. can fire across a gap in a column), including flyers
Instrument: Ranged, can hit up to 2 consecutive enemies in a column (cannot fire across a gap in a column), including flyers
Power Saw: Melee, can hit up to 3 enemies across a front row, cannot attack flyers
Spear: Melee, can hit up to 2 consecutive enemies in a column, cannot attack flyers
Staff: Magic, can hit a single enemy in a front row, including flyers
Sword: Melee, can hit a single enemy in a front row, cannot attack flyers
Dual Sword*: Melee, can hit up to 4 enemies in a cross pattern in a front row, including flyers
Whip: Ranged, can hit up to 3 enemies consecutively (not across a gap) across any row, including flyers

Magic Skills have attack ranges based on magic skills:

Some magic skills are direct attacks that have a specific attack range.

Reaver's/Viking's: Freezing Axe: Freeze an enemy for some time with a blast of ice from your axe. -- This affects up to 3 enemies across a front row.
Knight's/Lady Knight's Light Slash: Slashes the enemy with a sword of light. -- This affects up to 2 consecutive enemies in a column.
General's Green Dragon Glaive: A powerful AoE (area of effect) attack that strikes an entire enemy formation with the power of the Green Dragon. -- AoE attacks in Atlantica Online attack a full enemy formation. See AoE for more info.

Some magic skills are passive skills that affect a character's weapon during normal attacks. Examples:

Atlantian Blademaster's Direct Current: Channels electricity through the caster's weapon to deal extra damage. -- This affects all targets hit by the Blademaster's attack, so the attack range is the same as the Blademaster's Dual Swords' attack range.
Bai Xian's Luohan's Wisdom: Converts damage into power. Has a chance to increase Multi-Hit Rate and Attack Power when making a physical attack. -- This affects all targets hit by Bai Xian's attack, so the attack range is the same as Bai Xian's gun's attack range.
Bai Xian's Immortal Lightning: Fills your weapon with lightning to shock enemies. This skill has a chance to stun with physical attack. -- This can only stun the front-most character hit by Bai Xian's attack, so the attack range is the same as Bai Xian's gun's attack range, but with an additional effects that only affects the front most enemy hit.
