Equipment Sets are used to equip characters with armor and weapons in preparation for combat. Equipment sets may be obtained from equipment boxes that are found by defeating monsters found throughout various dungeons. Equipment may also be purchased from the market or obtained through bidding at the auction. Some equipment sets, however, can only be obtained through crafting.
Some dungeons yield a rare equipment set which is harder to obtain than the dungeon's main set. Rare sets consist only of weapons. The attributes of rare weapons are greater than that of other weapons of the same level. Crafted equipment sets, however, include a full set of weapons and armor and have statistics that are even greater than that of a dungeon's rare equipment set of the same level.
Equipment Set Contents Edit
Equipment sets do not contain all possible equipment, but they do contain the most common and essential items:
Strategy for Equipment Sets Edit
A common strategy for upgrading equipment is to grind for or buy from the market, or otherwise obtain, a bunch of equipment set boxes for a particular level and open them when several of your formation characters hit that level.
For example, when I hit 130 on Smashix, I started doing dungeons (Trials, Olympus Tower V) repeatedly (daily if possible) and started saving up all the Pegasus equipment set boxes I could. By the time my main and several of his mercs hit level 140, I had over 100 boxes to open and get a good head start to a full set of level 140 equipment, especially since the Infused Pegasus Equipment boxes (that you can get by chance from Trials) drop +3 to +6 items.
If you open say 100+ Pegasus Equipment Boxes, you are bound to get enough of some equipment items to enchant them up to +2. Then either get more boxes or buy the missing pieces to complete what you need/want.
Equipment Set ListEdit
The table below lists each of the available equipment sets, the boxes that they may be obtained from, and which dungeons the boxes can be found in. Also included is the minimum character level required to wear each set: this level must be met by the individual character that wishes to wear the equipment. Any piece of equipment can be decomposed into elements by breaking it with a hammer of the appropriate tier. The tier determines which type of hammer is needed to decompose the equipment as well as the type of enchant or enhance stone needed to upgrade it. Note that it is possible to use items of a tier that is greater than required, but not lower.
Some equipment sets are represented by several names, one for each of the different types of class that can wear them. In these cases, the set names are listed in the following class type order: melee, ranged and caster. If there are only two types listed, melee and ranged share the same name and the caster name is listed second.
