About Skills
Each character in Atlantica Online has one or more skills. Each hero (main) character can have up to 5 skills (eventually as the hero levels) and each mercenary can have numerous skills, which vary by merc.
Some skills can be used by more than one main or mercenary, others are limited to a single class.
New skills are learned and existing skill level increased by consuming skill books.
See the Magic tab in the Skills Window to see all magic skills of any character currently in your formation.
Overdrive Skills
Ancient Fury is an Overdrive skill that all players level 60 or higher can use, regardless of main character class, and it is well worth having!
Hero (Main Class) Skills
Each hero can have up to 5 skills, 3 skills prior to level 100. After the level 100 upgrade quest line, the hero can choose a 4th skill. After the level 120 upgrade quest line, the hero can choose a 5th skill. While a hero has a choice of several level 120 skills, a hero can only choose 1 of the available level 120 skills.
A hero can, but does not have to, learn all of the skills available to that main class, limited only by the available skill points.
Mercenary Skills
Each mercenary has the possibility to learn several skills, as defined in Atlantica Online under Game Info > Classes. That mercenary can, but does not have to, learn all of the skills available to that mercenary, limited only by the available skill points.
An exception to this are Legion mercenaries. Legion mercenaries gain and level a predefined set of skills as they upgrade and get no skill points. See Legions for more information about Legion mercs.
Skill Points
Skill Points determine how many skill levels a given character (main or mercenary) can learn.

Blood Venegance | Deal severe damage to one enemy, in exchange for damage to one of your own mercenaries at random. | Pirate |
Beast's Soul | Summons Beast's Soul to increase allies' attack power. | Druid |
Break Down | Damage all enemies by shaking the ground. If you cast Break Down magic on an enemy who's been affected by Chaos Wind, the combo Destructive Wind will activate. | Sword Main |
Broken Arrows | Decreases attack power and vitality of the enemy's bow-type mercenaries and seals their magic | Punisher |
Broken Spear | Reduces the effectiveness of enemies' spears. | Prophet |
Brutal Will | The mercenary fills her allies with energy to boost their attack power and send them into a berserk state. Berserk mercenaries will automatically attack their opponents. | Shaman |
Chainsaw Blade | Summon a huge sawblade which slices the enemy's formation to deal damage. | PowerSaw Main |
Chaos Edge | Damage an enemy with a blade of darkness. If you use this magic on enemies who are affected by Brutal Will or Seth's Will, it will cause additional damage. | Sword Main |
Chaos Wind | Damage the enemies with a tornado. If you cast Break Down magic on an enemy who's been affected by Chaos Wind, the combo Destructive Wind will activate. | Bow Main |
Concentrate | The mercenary enhanced the physical damage and accuracy of all melee offensive mercenaries, and regenerates their HP. | Prophet |

Freezing Axe | Target a single enemy(row of enemies after upgrading) with a freezing slash which inflicts a low amount of damage and stuns for 2 turns. | Viking, Northern VIking, Axe Main |
Guard Dispel | Removes Holy Guard from the enemies’ front row. | Melee Mains, Staff Main |
Hallucination | Makes the enemies hallucinate and unable to use magic. | Musician |
